Vehicle Detail
This is a great car. Straight and solid with no scary issues. All the windows go up and down including the rear hatch. The straight 6 starts immediately and runs smoothly. The blinkers, horn and headlights all work. The original radio is there and the preset buttons work, but the radio does not come on. I don't know if its a power issue or a speaker issue. The tires have been upgraded to 14s and are the original 4 lug. I'm not sure but I think this car came with the following options: . Air Conditioning, Push-Button Radio w/ Antenna & Rear Speaker, Rear Armrest, Front Seat Belts, Full Wheel Covers ( i am missing the front left), Padded Dash, Luggage Rack (station wagon), Powerglide Transmission, Power Brakes. There may be others that I am not aware of. The rear seat folds down to create a flat area for sleeping or cargo transport The interior is blue with burber carpeting. There are no rips or holes in the carpeting though it could use a good cleaning. The passenger side looks brand new but the driver side shows some wear. If I had to guess I would say that the car has 157,000 thousand miles but of course the odometer doesn't go that high so its anyone's guess. The nice condition of the interior and straight exterior are what make me believe that the mileage is very low for this car. The driver's bench has been recovered in cloth and has one tiny rip on the driver's backrest. The rear seat is the original vinyl and has two rips in it. One in the bottom part and one in the back rest. The door cards look very nice. The headliner has some holes cut in the rear for who knows what. it also has some tiny rips in the rear. Looks real nice in the front. the padded dash has two cracks in it but the dash itself has no scratches or chips and no damage to any of the glass. The A/C unit shows signs of wear but the rest looks very nice. I think the original paint was adobe beige and it has been repainted ermine white. The new paint is decent but with a few areas of chipping/cracking makes this car a ten footer. Some of the trim was removed for the repaint, but not all. It appears that all the trim is there with the exception of two chrome pieces on the rear D? pillars. The rear hatch is the worse looking part of the car. Much of the paint has cracked and fallen off, while some of the remaining shows signs of age. I believe this car was parked in a shed for many years and only the rear was exposed to sunlight. The other imperfect area is the driver door. It appears to have had some damage and been repaired with bondo. The bondo has begun to shift and crack. I did not pull up the carpet but I inspected the under side of the car and it is rust free and has the original protective coating. There is rust in the passenger A pillar and some tiny spots along the rain gutter but everywhere else looks very nice and cancer free. The luggage rack is not currently attached, I just put it on the vehicle for the pictures. I left off the wheel covers because I only have three. On Oct-15-14 at 08:00:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I have found the missing hubcap and now have all 4 matching hubcaps. They are in good condition. I also noticed that the front seat was not recovered, but that a professional seat cover was made to cover the original vinyl seat. Maybe here in Texas the hot vinyl was uncomfortable? I did not want to remove the cover since I have already listed it and it has bids but I added a picture where you can see the original vinyl peeking out between the aftermarket seat covers. I have also added a few pictures of the hubcaps, the carpet showing wear and grime but no rips, the glove box in decent shape, and the original owners manual. The manual is not in perfect shape but it is kind of fun to have.
