My wife (Lillian) bought this car from Peters Auto Sales in Nashua, NH in September 1989, and she has been the sole owner ever since, and almost its only driver. The car has been garaged for all of its 25 years, except that we have now moved to an apartment, and the car has been parked outside since September 5th, 2014. Although my wife dearly loves her sporty racer, she never drove it much, and thus the total mileage is less than 30,000 miles. Because of the low mileage and garage protection, it has NO RUST. Her car has never been in an accident of any sort. However, by 2007 it had collected a series of minor dings and scratches from parking-lot encounters. We had the dings removed and the exterior of the car painted by Maaco, who did a beautiful job. Neither my wife nor I are smokers, so the car is essentially smoke-free. The car has all of its original parts and equipment, including the tires, except for the following components: right door power mirror (replaced 2007) front shocks (1997) right ball joint and control arm (1999) hood struts (2014) left front window motor (2009) radiator (2007) water pump (2006) timing belt (2006) muffler & tailpipe (2001) The car has been meticulously maintained, and all its service records are available. Everything in the car functions well, with no problems. The radio and its speakers sound very good. The drive is excellent, peppy and responsive, with a true sports-car feel to its steering -- it feels almost like it did when it was new. The removable T-tops are great fun, allowing you to get a convertible open feel when you want, but closing you in cosily (still with a view of the sky) when you don't. The cloth seats don't look new, but they are in good condition with no spots. The hatchback configuration gives lots of carrying capacity, like a huge trunk. The buyer is responsible for arranging shipping, if necessary. We will accept a certified bank check or cash, but I was recently scammed with a counterfeit certified bank check, so we will not release the car and title unless I go to the buyer's bank for verification, or until the check fully clears (usually 7 business days); also I will need to take a cash payment to the bank for verification.
