Vehicle Detail

For your amusement & consideration I offer an Austin Healey Sprite of the Bug Eye variety, despite eBay's coercion in the listing forms , the exact year is unknown to me at this point, 1958 ish ? and while the listing says a "clear title" the car is in Vermont and the DMV of this glorious state does not, will not, and cannot issue a title for a vehicle of this vintage, thus offered with a Bill of Sale only The car is missing the windshield glass, air cleaners, top and bows, most lighting assemblies......seats are included but not installed, in need of complete restoration..........rear brakes were disassembled when it arrived here and are still in that state, there is a rather rude cutout for a radio on the right side of the dash, the car came to me without top bows but the rollbar served that purpose, it had a top when it arrived but was in poor condition and I unable to locate it....the missing rear bumperette in the picture is included with the mounting bracket............the last two pictures in the series are of the inside of the rear quarters, left & right, .........I acquired this probably a quarter of centuries ago in a trade......with the sincerest of intentions of making it road worthy for my then wife.........the wife has moved on to greener pastures and now is time for the Sprite to go on also... the motor turned easily when it arrived here and reportedly ran, it is now seized and I have made no attempt to free it, the body seems very solid with solid floors and no evidence of having been repaired, paint is adequate for a runner but certainly not of show quality, there is a gray splash of primer on the left rear quarter panel, this is not evidence of repairs or pealing paint, at some point a can of paint fell near it, splashed it and I neglected to clean it off the car.........the car is offered as it, where is with no implied or stated warranty as to its condition or restorability, I cannot ship this car, buyer must make his/her own transportation arrangements, a deposit of $ 500 by Paypal within 48 hours of auction completion, balance in cash when car is picked up, no later than 10 days of auction, will store car an additional 10 days and then $10 per day storage fee.........no trades of vehicles, livestock, etc considered,,,,,,,, please email with any question, comments, or criticisms............any valid info provided will be graciously accepted and passed along. On Oct-10-14 at 07:50:25 PDT, seller added the following information: HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT FROM THE SERIAL NUMBER THE CAR IS PROBABLY A 1961, WOULD WELCOME ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS FROM OUR VIEWERS..........CAVEAT EMPTOR !!On Oct-13-14 at 12:56:24 PDT, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE, A BIT OF JUDICIOUS POUNDING BY A POTENTIAL BUYER ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FLOOR BOARD REVEALS SOME PIN HOLES AT THE BEND WHERE THE FLOORBOARD RISES TO THE FOOTBOARD I KNOW, THAT'S AS CLEAR AS MUD BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW ELSE TO DESCRIBE IT
