Vehicle Detail
Read my feedback. The car is in my name. Title clear and blank. Runs strong and has no smoke or ticks at all. IT IS A SURVIVOR. Top is in nice shape, I did not treat it with anything to make it shine. I did wash the car and took photos and video about a week ago. I have driven the car a total of 200 miles or so. Stops nice, steers nice, accelerates and shifts nice. No rattles or knocks etc. All the lights seem to work, inside and out. Heater puts out warm air but not a lot, radio doesn't work, but 8 track seems to click when you push the selector.. I think its a simple fix. Wipers work nice. All windows go up and down like new... fast. Power trunk works. Rear defogger works, Power antenna works. The car needs a paint job. If I put a "cover up" paint job on it, it would show super nice. I like original cars, the main reason I bought it. The trunk is super solid, the cardboard on the sides was never wet. The rear package tray is dry and clean and no signs of any damage ever... which on a Pontiac of this vintage is VERY VERY HARD TO FIND. The body is solid and was treated with zbart? so it never was rusty and then covered up...leaving you with a double mess to fix. The 428 does not smoke, or tick at all. It runs smooth and strong. The transmission shifts solid. It has a posi tag on the big rear end. Orginal shocks in the back with the spirals.. not a replacement shock.. org. It does not bounce so they are still working just fine. Car sits right, not jacked up to high and not wore out from to many miles sagging down to the ground. Steers and stops nice. I took pictures after a wash in the nice weather... I have at least 3 videos... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cW1J9wkj-z4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZYdI9HZlBU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrbrKlunBps&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijaJBvjk6Uw&feature=youtu.be last video added. you should be able to see the other one when viewing these... The interior is a knockout Super comfy seats. Foam is still very nice. No tears in the headliner, seats door panels, dash, carpet etc. Its remarkable. A steam clean or shampoo may make you feel better, but not necessary at all. I like the way the car smells and looks. Door panels are fancy pants as are the seats. The cornering lights are neat with the 428 badges next to them, but the blue interior with headrests make the car really pop. Its like captains chairs ...The dash and dash panel are super nice and the lights all work. Chief is the highbeam.. I think the last year for the red chief...very cool...I have not seen a Bonneville with "good colors" AND equipment for a long time. The car has scratches but no major dents or deep scrapes. It will be a nice car with a simple paint job. No need to do anything else except maintain it, fix a couple small things and ENJOY IT. The power seat is not working, radio, heater blower may not be, and I have not looked at the fuses.. but have to think they may be bad or not quite making a connection. THIS IS NOT A RUST BUCKET CRUSTY OLD HEAP. It had to have sat for a while without a lot of driving, but not out in the sun or snow.. the interior is way to nice as is the vinyl top. I don't think the car leaks oil or tranny fluid or antifreeze. I have not seen any little tracks or circles at all after parking it on asphalt etc. It does not smoke oil off the engine either..so no sitting at stop lights and a funny oil cloud or smell around you. Glass is all perfect Tinted and clean. NICE. I have a phs somewhere. ITs a YH 428 with 670 heads. ALL standard production 67 400 and 428 engine in 1967 came with these heads.. as far as I know, no other heads. They get good gas mileage in comparison to later years, and perform much better( power ) Chrome and stainless all are very shiny. Not perfect, but really shows nice everywhere. I think that should be a fair description and with photos and a couple videos.. I have been upfront about the car. I like it, but money is more important at this time. Some of the pictures may make the car look better than it is....like the sunset one on the road and some may make it look worse. Either way...they were not enhanced or edited in any way, and taken from my phone.... IF YOU BUY IT. PLEASE read this... I will not pick you up on a Friday night or Saturday morning at the Bus Station because you got off work on Thursday and that when YOU could get here... I may be trying to leave town then etc... and THEN.. go on a test drive, talk about the price and what you don't like about the car and how much gas is going to be to get it home and why your wife left you last year. I cant have you come here and sand it down and repaint it in my garage so when you bring it home to your girlfriend it looks better than she expected giving you a back massage in return. I don't want to have you come in the house to charge your cell phone and have my wife fix us a snack so we can talk about your side trip to Vegas on the way home. Our showers are not like KOA campgrounds etc. where you can pay a couple bucks to clean up after a full tune up on the car. .. it wont need anything anyway.. it will drive home as it is. I don't want you to think I am being a jerk.. but this is not a new corvette sale for 60 grand. It s a cool, somewhat rare old Pontiac that wont cost you much to own. A ford Galaxy is about the same and they were cheap by any measure to a Bonneville Brougham. These were well built very well driving road cars. Fancy appointments, great lines inside and out. A unique year and by a lot of folks measure..Pontiacs best year in looks and engineering. I am known for selling cars quickly when I decide to let them go. If you are serious, DO NOT WAIT... I SELLTHINGS.. I don't keep relisting them over and over and over trying to get top dollar. I see cars on ebay that have been relisted for months. I REFUSE to do that...its not for sale.. its going to be SOLD. I paid retail for the car, Im losing money. Its been nice to own, and a good savings account for me. I need the money now, so that's why its here. I live 5 minutes from the airport. I will likely be able to pick you up or have someone get you if I am gone...which is often. The car drives nice and should bring you home with no issues...if you are in need of a road trip. I like to be be paid with no weirdness. Just pay for the car at the price you bid. There is a chance I could deliver or have someone deliver it for you but don't want to complicate things. Driven or trailered.. depending on where you live. You make the offer or ask.. Ill tell you if I can etc.
