Up for auction is a fabulous 1950 Chrysler Desoto. Very very good condition inside and out. We purchased this antique car 12 years ago - only took it for short rides on weekends. It has been garaged at all times when not out and about. Ran perfectly until about a year ago - not sure why it won't start, but it wouldn't take much to crank it up again. We just can't put any more money into it. Fluid drive (mixture of automatic and standard clutch) and only 72,300 miles! I have a stack of receipts totaling $15,000 worth of parts, service, and repair done on this car since we purchased it. Every replacement part is original for this car. This car is so much fun to drive and many times brings back a memory for someone when they see it. We love the car, but just can't put any more money into it to keep it going. It's a great deal for someone who can take care of it! Please note: although the car won't start, the motor turns over. The motor is NOT frozen. Again, we just can't put any more money into it.
