1953 MG-TD 2 Roadster RARE Edition, Red with tan interior and tan convertible top with matching side curtains. Lots of documentation and restoration receipts. An Excellent investment opportunity for a RARE MG-TD-2 MG-TD Serial Number 29671. Built February 22, 1953. Production of the D series ceased August 17, 1953 the last serial number was 29915. This is one of only 157 cars shipped to the United States in 1953. The "LIEON" series. A rare variety of TD, very few ever built. They were characterized by the Burl Elm veneer dash board and Damascening (engine turning) of the instrument panel. Indentified by the GOLD LION CREST on the glove box door. History: The car was shipped into Houston Texas in March of 1953. The first owner is believed to have been a NASA Astronaut subsequently transferred to Goddard Space Flight Center in Beltsville, MD in the late 60's It was acquired by Motorhead and sold to Mr. Robert Runyon of Waldorf MD in 1970. It remained in storage for 18 years then restored in 2000. The restoration is still very nice with minimal wear. Ships Worldwide.
