Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 For Sale is a 1994 Honda Accord EX with the VTEC Engine. The car is being sold as is. With that being said, I'm giving the history of the car, but by no means am I guaranteeing anything. Once again, the car is being sold as is, no guarantees on condition or working order; I'm simply telling you the background so you can make an informed buying decision. I've owned the car for around 4 years. When I bought the Accord the automatic transmission was slipping, I drove it like this for a year or two and then it completely went. At this time I put in another transmission from a junkyard car, and it shifts fine. The Accord has power windows, locks, cruise control, air worked fine, etc. The only noticeable problem it had from day one is the ABS brake system light has been on. I think the ABS unit is bad, but it always drove fine. I live in MD and I attempted to get the car inspected awhile ago, but it failed on a multiple of things. I can’t remember a lot of the issues pointed out, but it was a multitude of what I consider "small" things. For example, I remember it needed brakes and rotors. I just don't have the time to put the work into the car. It's been sitting for awhile at my parents place in PA, where my Dad had been slowly working on it piece by piece. I'm not sure what exactly he's done to it, but I know when I ask about it, he say's "it just needs a speedometer!" Which brings me to the cars next issue. The speedometer has worked intermittently since I bought the car, and therefore the odometer. I'm assuming it was that way before I bought it, which is why I'm not willing to put a number down for the mileage. I never replaced the timing belt or water pump and would put it on the list of things to do if I were fixing it up. The Engine has always ran perfect in the time that I've owned it. It has newer tires. The car was in a front end fender bender while I owned it - the hood is one from a junkyard, and the lights are a little cracked on the one side. All in all the car is NOT in good condition aesthetically. There are some scratches in the paint, the hood and fender are slightly bent, the front probably doesn't match up perfectly. As far as the interior, I personally think it's held up nicely for a 20 year old car - but my standards may by no means match yours, and the interior is definitely not perfect! I would say the cloth on the seats looks good though. The issues listed are by no means a final list – there are more, but I hope I've painted a picture of what the car is. The car has its quirks and share of problems. Do not expect to buy this car to have on the road with minimal work. Expect to tow this car, and expect to put time and money into this car (if you're willing to fix it up). I almost want to say it’s a parts car just to avoid any disappointment or ill feelings on the buyers’ part. To me it still has life left in it, be it as a donor parts car, or a "fixer" upper. It's for this reason I haven't scrapped it - maybe somebody else will appreciate it. At this point it's just been sitting and needs to be sold.
