Vehicle Detail
We are selling our family owned leisure car, a beautiful 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300 TD T Wagon, aka... 5 Door Country Wagon. It has been an awesome car to own and drive and we have created many memories driving her around the city and countryside. Floating down the road, sunroof open, windows down, this car really is a pleasure to cruise in... but we've moved and don't have a the garage space for her. We don't want this nice of a car to set out and honestly hate for it to see snow again. This is a Florida car that we bought and transplanted to Ohio. She's blue on blue. Interior in almost perfect condition. Climate control works, A/C is cold and all interior controls work as they should. Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Mirror, Rear Wiper and Defrost. Wood trimmed interior finishes. Classic Mercedes detail and workmanship. We took it in for a checkout at one of the nicest import service centers around ( evansauto.com/ ) We had all of the belts replaced at the beginning of the summer. We had the A/C checked out. We also had an alignment done, found the tie rods getting a little loose so we replaced them as well, had it realigned after the new tie rod ends. Last year we did a pre-winter service on it which included a new battery, two new glow plugs and a new glow plug relay. Living her whole life in Florida, no one had paid much attention to her cold weather equipment. The car came with new brakes, rotors, calipers, hoses and pads. Our mechanic indicated that the previous owner had a good eye for detail and that the rotors and calipers were European, not Autozonian... The factory Decker radio seems to be on strike. Recently, it turns on, and then in a few seconds turns off. This is not ideal for jamming around town so, I purchased a new JVC CD player but have not installed it. I will also include a super cool TranzItBlu Bluetooth unit that allows you to stream music from your iPhone right to your classic MB... mounts behind the radio. It's Apple and Android friendly I think... BestBuy sells them, about $170 but its pretty cool. Any questions, please email me. If you want to drive by and take a look, just let me know; or if you want to send your mechanic over...This is seriously one of the coolest cars we've ever owned. Without a doubt, we have received more compliments on this car, than all of our other cars (ever) combined. Alas, my wife has a new VW TDI wagon and our blue wagon probably needs to go. Thanks for looking! Tim
