1987 560 SEL. "NO RESERVE AUCTION" Car features: power windows, power door locks, memory front power seats, AM/FM CD player, power antenna, power tilt steering wheel, power steering, intermittent wipers, electric deicer, power brakes, ABS, and power head rests. This car was in great condition when purchased with wood trim and interior in mint condition, but has now been restored to all its glory as if it were new. Within the last few months or past 2,000 miles the following was completed: re-foamed seats and new seat covers (quality cloth), new radio CD player, new motor with only 60,000 miles, new motor mounts, rebuilt transmission by Mercedes certified shop, all new high speed radial tires, new timing chains, new alternator, new fan clutch, new radiator, all new belts, new hoses, new cruise control servo, new blower motor, new electric cooling fan, new thermostat, new head lights, new grille, new hood ornament, and new brakes and rotors front & back. This car has always been garaged in Arizona. Absolutely new rust present. This car is destined to become a classic. Please note that when changing the engine, I decided to upgrade to the 560 from the 420. Substantially more power with little fuel economy loss. In so doing the transmission was upgraded to the stronger transmission to handle the extra torque from the dual cam 5.6 liter V-8. The upgraded transmission was completely rebuilt as well.
