Recent Trophy WINNER!!! This is a great opportunity to own a real classic!! 1955 GMC 1/2 ton pickup, 5 window, 1st series, HYDRA-MATIC!!! Yes, this is an original factory 4 speed automatic truck. Orignally from Oregon, this truck was brought to Michigan about a year ago. Recently went through a restoration, this truck sports a fresh custom "Patina" paint job and clear coated with a flat clear to protect it. This is not real rust on this truck! It was painted on to look this way. The 248 Inline six motor runs great and is the factory original numbers matching motor along with the 4 speed auto " Hydramatic" transmission. 125.25" Wheelbase. The interior was redone as well. The seat is the original seat that was recovered some time ago, it has a few flaws but nothing major. All the original factory gauges are here, all work except the fuel guage. Here is a list of what's new: headliner, sun visors, door trim, arm rests, mirror, factory rubber floor covering, 2 speed electric heater, electric windshield wiper motor The exterior we added new period correct side mirrors, windshield wiper arms and blades, new custom chrome wheels and new radial tires. The brake system was serviced and repairs were made were needed. Brakes shoes are new, 4 wheel drum. The electrical system was updated to 12 volt with an alternator. New kingpins, shocks, and water pump plus we had the alignment checked. She drives down the road nice. All the glass is in good condition and original except the rear window and one of the vent windows, both have cracks which we decided to leave to add to the weathered look of the truck. The corner windows are original factory tinted and the windshield are in great condition. The bed is wood and custom airbrushed and clear coated to look like the plank beds that came in this truck. This is a really cool truck. She runs and drives great. Gets lots of looks. This truck has a very rare combination of options. Last of the 1st series pickups. 1955 was a transition year for this truck. The 1st series was only made a few months before GM released the new body style. Don't pass this opportunity up!
