Vehicle Detail

1970 Dodge Charger 500VIN: XP29N0G220524Mileage: 91,000 original miles383HP V8, Auto Trans Factory AirPaint: Original FC7 Plum Crazy PurpleInterior: Factory Dark Grey This is an awesome example of a 1970 Dodge Charger 500. Rarely will you see one as beautiful. This is a numbers matching car in very original condition with 90% original parts. I am the documented third owner and have paperwork including all previous owner registrations and the original build sheet from the factory. I have owned this car since 2004 when it had 87,000 miles, and it has always been kept in my garage. There have been two repaints prior to me owning the car. It looks fantastic, but does have a few minor scratches. Bumpers were re-chromed and are clean. Grille is one of the best originals I have seen on a 1970. I had the hideaway headlight motor rebuilt to factory standards, as well as the 3-speed wiper motor. No rust on this car – it is a Nevada car, with about 8 months in Sacramento, and then here to Boise. I rarely wash the car, preferring a good dusting to keep it dry. The interior is nearly perfect. Clean carpet, no rips or tears in the upholstery. I removed the dash and had it professionally restored to perfect new condition. Even the clock keeps time. I had the original 383 engine completely rebuilt and installed a mild cam. The 727 Automatic transmission is original. I believe the original owner installed a B&M valve body. It shifts smooth and solid. I added ceramic headers and a custom FlowMaster exhaust system. The car has an upgraded Mopar radiator to keep it all cool. The factory AC system has been upgraded to modern Freon. Other restoration items I have done include a new SSBC Performance Brake drum-to-disc conversion, a Painless wiring harness replacement, complete steering and suspension rebuild, new custom steering wheel (you can have the original to restore), high performance fuel pump and a Holly 4bbl carb (I have the original carb), a K&C Harrison Classic Car Audio AM-FM stereo. The car has custom wheels with original Mopar center caps and new tires. The original painted steel wheels with matching chrome hubcaps come with the car – they give it a real NASCAR look.
