***** I am re-listing this item due to a non paying bidder from last week. If you do not plan to pay, do not bid!!!@!.***** Up for auction is a very nice 71 Rupp Roadster 2. I acquired this bike about a year ago & disassembled it completely to clean it up & paint it. The frame was thoroughly cleaned, rust removed & primed & painted along with the fuel tank & fender with a custom mixed color to match the original metallic blue paint.( Napa Crossfire single stage urethane).The paint is not flawless but VERY nice. Keep in mind that this has been ridden & shows some signs of use. There are some marks in the rear fender & a scuff which is covered by a Rupp sticker at the rear of the fender. I then reassembled it using most of the original hardware & parts. A N.O.S. fuel cap & reproduction foot peg rubbers were installed as well as reproduction decals. The torque converter cover is a reproduction piece & is made of fiberglass, much stronger than the original. All of the chrome on the bike is original to it & does have some minor rust & pitting from age & use. The headlight bezel has some hazing of the chrome, especially on the top surface, but is original.The bike still has its original seat cover & foam. It had a few small tears that I repaired from the inside to prevent them from getting worse, but still looks good for the age. It retains its original fenders,exhaust, wheels & tires. The wheels have been painted a silver metallic color, but looked decent so I left them alone. The tires are original Rupp IRC with a Rupp trials up front & a Rupp motocross in the rear. They are in great condition for the age & only have very light age checking.The engine is NOT original to the bike. It is a HS50 & does not have a lighting coil, but runs excellent. I have no way to know the condition of or if the lights on the bike would work. I installed a brand new aftermarket carb & new points & condenser. The bike runs & rides excellent, the torque converter system works perfectly & the brakes work well also. The jackshaft sprocket shows some wear. All in all It is a very nice example of one of Rupp's most popular model. This is an excellent rider quality bike, & with some work could be a very nice show bike. My grand children & I have been riding it on & off & it always has performed well. This vehicle was never titled & is being sold with a bill of sale only. Actual mileage of vehicle is unknown, I have tried to disclose any and all defects that I am aware of & have been honest in its description, but there may be something that I missed. I will not ship this bike, or disassemble it for shipping, but will assist in any way that I can with shipping arrangements.
