You are looking at a 1955 Chevrolet Pro Touring Pickup Stepside with a big back window. This truck is by far the nicest classic vehicle I have owned. It has the best of the best whether it is ride quality, handling from side to side, going down the quarter mile stretch, or just simply driving across the the state comfortably(if you can afford the gas). This truck has it all not to mention it just looks tough. This truck was part of a 3 yr build including 1yr that was spent on fabricating up the frame (see the pictures). Built to go fast and get all the looks. If you say it is all about the stance then this truck is all that, and with the air ride suspension you can keep it low while your driving. With around 700 miles on it since the build, it is very user friendly. On a hot day it runs at about 185 and 190 to 195 if your in slow traffic. With the big Wilwood brakes it stops on a dime. This truck has been completely stripped apart, sanded down and all of the fenders and body panels have been individually painted and re assembled underneath and is just as nice as the top side as you will see in the build pictures. You can not build a truck of this caliber for under $100K as the Merlin turn key crate engine alone costs approx $17K (675hp). I have a clear title. Ford 9 inch 31 spline Strange axles, Richmond 3.70 gears with Detroit Locker beefed up turbo 400 Transmission Coan torque converter with a Denny's custom aluminium driveshaft. Body and Paint: Complete frame off rotisserie, PPG paint, frame fully boxed in. All the reinforcements were done and all welds were ground and smoothed and then painted. Suspension was completely dissassembled, painted and then reassembled. This truck also has a smoothed fire wall installed to accompany that monster Merlin big block in front of it. All of the chrome has been replaced (bumpers, grill, mirrors, handles, etc.) all the stainless was polished prior time installation. Suspension: This truck has a TCI Custom IFS subframe in the front with polished stainless A-Arms and manual rack and pinion steering. The truck has been 4-Linked in the back with a heavy duty pan hard bar for stability from side to side movement This truck is also equipped with air ride suspension from Air Lift. there is an onboard compressor and air tank to help keep the billet shockwaves on all 4 corners of the truck supplied with air on demand whether you drop it at a show or your on the highway and you have the truck at ride level. Shockwaves are way more money than plain airbags but you get what you pay for..... Interior: Lunas Upholstery installed the super nice interior in this truck including a form fitting real black leather seat with red double stitching, Billet specialties black steering wheel, custom carpet with matching floor mats, suede headliner and leather sun visor as well. Wheels and Tires: To fill in the wheel wells we installed Boyd Coddington Magneato polished billet wheels 20x8 in the front and 20x18 in the back, and these rims are wrapped in Nitto tires in the front and Mickey Thompsons Sportsmans in the back. Brakes: The front of the truck has the Big Wilwood 13 inch cross drilled and slotted rotors and 6 piston callipers and in the back there are 12 inch rotors and 4 piston callipers and the callipers have been powder coated red to match the truck. The brake lines on this truck are all stainless and there are Wilwood adjustable proportioning valves in line as well. Miscellaneous: The truck has a new Oak bed with Clear Polyurethane completing the wood along with the polished stainless bed strips for a nice clean look in the back of the truck. There is an Eclipse in dash, flip down Cd Player in the glove box and there are two small speakers under the dash but there is no antenna hooked up to it. All glass and rubber seals are new. There is no heater and the wipers are there but are not functional unless you install an electric motor. All new wiring harness has been thoughtfully hidden inside the boxed frame and running to a new fuse panel.
