Vehicle Detail

1969 RS/SS Convertible 4speed, Red with White Houndstooth interior. Numbers matching motor, transmission and rear end. Car has Vintage Air, power steering, power brakes and new suspension. Rally wheels mounted on new BF Goodrich TA Radials. Chrome, glass and top are in excellent condition. Car was repainted about 22 years ago and has been covered since. The car originated from Alabama and was sold on January 19, 1970. Options on build sheet include soft-ray tinted glass, door edge guards, convertible top/white, center console, air-spoiler equipment, 4-speed transmission, special instrumentation, AM pushbutton radio, rally sport equipment, Camaro SS equipment, medium red vinyl interior, and 52-52 garnet red. I have the original paperwork including the retail order form for a motor vehicle, bill of sale, car shipper sheet, 1969 Chevrolet Pre-Delivery Service and Adjustment Check Sheet, and a copy of the POP imprint. I am selling the car because I have too many hobbies and need the space in my garage. On Aug-28-14 at 12:51:03 PDT, seller added the following information: 1969 RS/SS Convertible 4speed, Red with White Houndstooth interior. I am selling the car because I have too many hobbies and need the space in my garage. I am getting tons of emails regarding this car and do not want to misrepresent anything . I purchased the car 12 years ago with the intent of restoring it since it was a numbers matching car and had documentation but I never got around to doing the restoration. The paint is in good condition but 25 years old so the new owner will probably want to repaint the car the original garnet red color at some point in time There are small sections of rust on each of the rear lower quarter panels that need to be repaired as well as a small section near the hood where the convertible top is. Other than that the car is straight and free or rust including the undercarriage. The car looks great the way it and runs excellent but it is 45 years old so at some point in time a restoration will be needed since this is a documented car. Everything in the car works including the windshield wiper nozzels. The car is being sold as is and I am going to wait until the auction ends since the reserve has been met.On Aug-28-14 at 13:30:27 PDT, seller added the following information: I can send pictures of the cowl tag or anything else since I can't add any more pictures to the existing ad.On Aug-30-14 at 07:49:42 PDT, seller added the following information: I did an extensive inspection of the car yesterday and it appears that there are only two very small areas that show signs of rust. They are both in the lower sections of the rear quarter panels. I can send pictures of those areas if you'd like. Other than that it appears that the car is rust free.
