1976 BMW R-Series

Up for auction is a 1976 BMW R90/6. I purchased the bike from a local car repair center. They were unable to contact the owner and took possession of it. In Ohio, this process requires that they receive title as "rebuilt salvage". It does not, however, have any known accident history. It starts easily and runs with no unusual sounds. Transmission shifts through all the gears. There are no leaks. Exhaust is solid with some surface rust which should clean up. It has a new rear tire, will need a new front tire. Brakes fine. Not all the dash lights work, and neither does the speedometer and tach. The last known mileage is 39,650. Headlight and turn signals are not operating, but there are a few unplugged connectors that probably account for that. Engine and frame numbers match. The bike starts, runs, shifts, and stops well. It has the original BMW key and a set of hard side cases. The reserve is set a very reasonable level. Please email or call, 440-382-8228, and I will answer your questions as best I can.
