Vehicle Detail

1972 Camaro Z/28 Mojave Gold, non matching Motor, with Tan interior. This Camaro is a project that needs complete restoration. Structurally is very solid, frame rails, trunk pan, rocker panels, almost the complete floor is solid. Driver side floor section were your feet would be needs replacement. Both Quarter panels need to be replaced as well drop offs, and inner wheel wells. I have included new reproduction drop offs, and inner wheel wells. I have bought doors that are solid, have little surface rust were the hinges are. Trunk lid is rust free and will need to have holes drilled to mount center portion of rear spoiler. I have pictures to show the bad spots. I have told the bad items of this project, now the good. In 1972 there was a strike at Norwood plant were Camaro's were made. Due to this strike at Norwood only produce 2575 Z/28's, which make this the 2nd lowest production Z/28 made throughout all the years that Camaro's have been made. Due to the number of production made, make's this a rare opportunity. 1. Engine bare block and is period correct H10 1, and is from a Camaro, with 1- cylinder head # 3973487X. 2. Intake is in excellent condition # 3959594, no date codes can been seen due to the oil diverter. 3. Correct Holley Carburetor 3997788 6238 series . 4. 1972 Turbo 400 transmission CD code. 5. 4 - Z/28 rims all oval holes. 6. Original rear axle with a 3:73 posi, code stamped on axle tub reads; CG G005 1 G. 7. Original 130 MPH, with the 8K tac, with transmission indicator. 8. Z/28 exclusive items, Extremely rare set of Heat Shields, Aluminum lower control arm bump stops. I have included 2 complete sets of front, & rear seats. Interior is missing center console, card board section of the door panels is not there, hard plastic pieces are very good shape. Front Header and Front Valance are GM original, Valance is period correct without extra bracing which was required in the following year. Rear Panel is GM and is bolted on. Glass is in Excellent condition, with exception of windshield there is none. All new body mounts. New rear leaf springs. Both fenders are new as well. New upper and lower ball joints set, & suspension bushings too. New wheel bearings& seals on existing rotors, these are not installed. I have tried to purchase the correct factory number coded items, or date code correct to complete this project. If you notice the size of my garage behind the car is a large reason that I'm selling this great project. Due to this being a project, Camaro is being sold in as is condition. Shipping is the responsibility of buyer, and I will work with company that is hired by purchaser. If you have any question please contact me 847 489 8455. Thank you
