Vehicle Detail

This is a beautiful and clean 1964 Ford Thunderbird Convertible which has a very low actual mileage reading of 69,043. The overall condition of this luxury sports convertible is above driver quality however it is certainly not a show car but one you can feel comfortable driving and enjoying which is the way these stylish flair birds were built and engineered when they left the Ford factory so many years ago. The overall mechanical condition of the car is very good and the 390-4v engine runs very smoothly with no exhaust smoke plus the transmission shifts as it was intended. The retractable power top mechanism all operates correctly and smoothly in the down/retractable position and up/closed position. The body paint has been touched up in multiple places and is not of a show quality finish but displays a high gloss as clearly evidenced by the images shown. Please keep in mind this automobile is literally 50 (+) years old and does have some inconsistencies from new as the top fender signal indicators, the radio, and the back up lights perform intermittently which could easily be corrected by any competent auto technician or qualified hobbyist. Some oil spots are evident on the floor after sitting for a specific duration however no oil "drips" out which is certainly consistent with any vehicle of this vintage. All components are era correct original to the car without some "non original " parts and accessories that you so frequently see on these flair birds for sale. Options are but not limited to are Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows (all work flawlessly), Rear Fender Skirts, 4-Way Power Drivers Seat, 4-Way Power Passenger Seat, and Right Exterior Rear View Mirror. Amazingly the Original Spare Tire is still intact again indicating this car has been well maintained throughout the years. Also the clock works flawlessly and accurately and still has it’’s original movement as you can hear it "click" at the timed intervals. The Mint Ford broadcast/build sheet was located under the rear seat and along with the owners manual and clear Missouri title will be included with the sale. The original door and build sheet coded Arcadian Blue color is one of which is a very relevant and desirable color of the 60's era and is rarely seen on this series of Thunderbirds. This is once again not a 35k restored mint car but a real nice Luxury Sports Convertible that has a very reasonable reserve set that accurately reflects the current day market on these flair birds. 1964 was the first year of this body style and is certainly the most attractive and the "Most Collectible" from an investment standpoint. Truly one of the""Unique" designs to ever emerge from "any" Detroit automaker these series of Thunderbirds are one of "The Best of the Best". Please feel free to email with any questions you may have. Thank you and good luck.
