This is a 1947 Willys CJ2A that I started to restore but ran into time, space and bandwidth issues. It starts and runs good. It has a clear Texas title and is registered with antique plates. This would be a great winter project for anybody that appreciates old jeeps. The engine runs strong. I have installed a new gas tank, changed out all fluids and filters - engine, transmission, differentials, flushed the radiator, replaced the battery, cables, belts, new oil bath breather. I bought this Willys a couple of years ago in Colorado and it has a solid body and undercarriage with very little rust except for the front floor braces where the oak supports wicked water (see photo) and a portion of the floor under the fuel tank which has been treated with POR 15 and is solid but not visible in any of the photos. I have some parts and a service manual that I will provide to the buyer. I have set a $2500 reserve on this vehicle. It comes with a tow bar and detachable lights (4 flat connector). Like I said, this would be a great project for sympathetic restoration, frame off or use as is for a hunting vehicle. Questions welcome. Buyer pick-up required. Cash preferred. Basically, this is an old jeep with a partial restoration but it needs additional work. For example, the brakes are well worn but they work, the exhaust system needs a new tailpipe, the rubber between the engine, body and the frame is dry cracked...anyway just want to manage expectations.
