Vehicle Detail

This car has been very well maintained since I bought it at 60k miles: - oil changed every 3-4k miles - engine and turbo have been replaced ($7.5k repairs) - brakes/rotors just replaced ($500+ repair) - any other issues promptly taken care of I am selling because we have three cars and barely need two, since I work from home and don't drive that often. Mechanical: this A4 has been checked mechanically several times at local Audi/VW shops, and runs exceptionally well. It gets 33-36 mpg on the highway going 70-80 mph on cruise control (consistent with other A4's I have owned). Exterior: the CarFax record was clean when purchased at 60k miles, and there have been no collisions since. There are several minor scratches/blemishes but no dents. Interior: labels on four of the AC buttons have worn down but it's fairly simple to figure out what each button does. The AC blows cold however it takes a minute or two to reach max cold when it is really hot outside (100+ degrees). The car has been detailed and the gas tank is full. This is a great car, but I want to be up front about everything so that the new owner is totally satisfied. Some words of caution from a three-time A4 owner: 1) Oil changes: Turbos need frequent oil/filter changes. If you change them every 5k miles or less, the engine and turbo will last a very long time. Any good Audi mechanic will tell you this. It is likely that the previous owner of this vehicle neglected to do so, and the engine and turbo had to be replaced at about 70k. If you tend to let oil changes slide past 10 or 15k miles, I don't recommend buying an A4. 2) Maintenance: Audi's are superb cars, probably the best of their class. The downside is that mechanical issues arise about every year or two. They are usually minor though ($50 to $300). The two most expensive things that can go wrong with A4's are the engine and turbo, and those have been replaced already. Please feel free to email me with questions or order an independent inspection. Thank you.
