Highroad Motors is thrilled to present this clean, straight 1969 Chevrolet El Camino. It is a running / driving / registered piece of American muscle history. We will cooperate with oversees shipping, as well as domestic.   The engine is a strong 350 V8 with a 4-bolt main block. The intake and carburetor are Edelbrock, the headers are Thorley, and the electronic ignition is an Accel unit.  The power is shifted through a rock-solid TH350 automatic transmission, and the power is put to the ground by a 12-bolt differential. The gearing is pretty low; I'm guessing 3.73 to 1. The exhaust rumbles through a pair of Flowmaster mufflers. There is chrome and some custom pulleys on the engine, and a red-top Optima battery provides the electrical power.  The doors and tailgate shut solid and flush; the hinges are solid. None of the usual GM "sag." The body is remarkably straight, but it does have some of the typical “bubbling” under the paint in several places. Plus there is evidence of a rust repair under the rear window. The only mechanical issue is that the car is a little hard to start after it's hot and has been sitting. (Vapor lock; the fuel evaporates.)   The paint is faded, and there is some damage on the hood. Overall, this classic car is in very good condition and it's the perfect project because it is already running and driving. It's smog-exempt in California, and it's currently registered. The car is up for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. This car can be viewed in-person almost anytime before the end of the auction.
