This is a 2001 Chey Malibu LS ready to go to a new home. Selling as the second owner since 27K miles in 2003. Since then it's been meticulously maintained as a primary commuter and kid hauler. Miles are mostly highway. I'm a mechanic and have done most of the work listed below myself. Some service/ parts receipts I have and some I don't. Although babied mechanically, it does have bumps dings dents on the body. Small hail dings on the roof, dent from falling limb. Contact with a a deer on right front quarter broke the $40 plastic headlight mount. I put a good used quarter panel and hood but there is a color shading difference. I joke with my wife about how she seems to be a magnet for all this debris leaping into her path lol. We just bought a new car and sure hope her luck changes, I'm nervous. Interior is good, no rips or tears in upolstery, normal wear/ dirt on carpet could use a shampoo. Ok so bottom line, despite cosmetic flaws this car has it where it really counts and has many miles/ years of life left. I see no reason you couldn't drive it cross state or cross country. It runs like a champ and does NOT burn oil, smoke. Gets great gas mileage on highway. Just passed Ga emissions. Mechanical Repair in last 2 years Tires have approx 80% tread left New starter Cronic faulty OEM Intake gasket replaced with Fel Pro New alternator Delco Serpentine belt/ tensioner TIming case cover/ crankshaft seal New radiator (rebuilt) AC compressor, new condenser Spark plugs/ wires replaced at 120K with Delco platinum units New front brake pads/ rotors 2 months ago New water pump Tranny fluid changed twice , once at 120k and again at 170k (that aint easy, thanks GM) All Cooling system hoses Cons Aforementioned misc assortment of dings, pings, dents Rear stereo speakers non working Power mirror adjustment switch left hand button works intermittently ( as mosty gm vehicles of this era dont) I will gladly assist with local delivery, pickups, inspections. I live 15minutes from Hartsfield/ Atl airport so potentially can pickup buyer flying in. Feel free to ask any questions.
