1958 GMC Big Back Glass Factory V8. Up for your bidding pleasure is a rare, hard to find Jimmy. This cool truck is ready to rat rod or just repaint back to the great original green (see photo of firewall where black paint is scraped off, not sure the name of this color for 1958. Kind of looks like it might be a forestry service vehicle green?)). It has the rare big V8 347 Cu. In. motor, and looks like it had the super rare hydromatic automatic transmission (see photo of firewall decal) but was changed to a 4 speed at some point in its life. It is a stepside bed 100 series, all the gauges work except the in dash tach. The wipers, all lights, blinkers, radio all work. Still has the original GMC radio, not hooked up, not sure if it works. As you can see it is in very nice condition with lots of factory BLING (chrome and stainless): chrome trim rings and caps, dual chrome mirrors, chrome door handle escutcheons, chrome door window visors, new chrome bumpers. New: retro style LED taillights, gas tank and sending unit (fuel gauge works). Has updated rear end with highway gears, I drove this p/u 54 miles home at 65+ MPH. Everything seems to work as it should including but not limited to all new brakes. Appears to be a solid truck that drives right. Very small rust on running boards but still looks solid. This is a one time listing, if it does not sell, I'm going to either rat rod or repaint it to its original green with cream cab.
