Vehicle Detail
Engine: 1973 Pontiac 455ci. engine (40 over) with 1971 #96 heads (ported and polished), Keith Black KB222 pistons, double roller timing set, Crane full rocker rollers, Crower camshaft 60919 (231/239 duration at 0.050 lift), yielding around 9.0+/1 compression; Doug’s headers to Pypes 2.5 inch exhaust with crossover behind headers and electronic dumps at crossover yield open exhaust, otherwise pretty quiet (see underbody pics). 4 barrel quadrajet carb rebuilt & tuned by Cliff’s High Performance Quadrajets. High torque micro-starter. Beefed up 700R4 overdrive transmission provides strong take off gear in first, car cruises at 2000 RPM at 70mph. Very tough sounding on street, but docile enough so wife regularly drives to grocery store. All cylinders compression strong (roughly 145-150 lbs.) and within 5 lbs. of each other. Many extra parts including a second 455 engine short block and 6x cylinder heads, both with slight surface rust from storage; note short block has very slight ridge wear in cylinders. Many manuals and other forms of info; all slips I have accumulated will go with vehicle. Just inspected. Appraised and insured for $39,500. No expense spared to turn machine into fast, reliable, docile, beautiful street machine and long distance cruiser. I can tell you much more about the car over the phone so please call (716-597-1230). This vehicle is located in Orchard Park, N.Y. (a suburb of Buffalo, N.Y.) and may be seen and driven at that location.
