Hi,For sale is a 1974 Honda XL70. About ten years ago I disassembled it to refinish it and somebody stole my tank and fenders. As most of you know the SL and XL 70 are basically the same bike, so I tracked down an SL tank and did it up like an SL. I used ppg Concept Urethane and it came out nice, but it's not a show bike. It has some small dents here and there on the pipe and fenders, and the normal surface imperfections that you'd find on a bike this old. Nothing really bad, but again, it's not a done up show bike. It still gets lots of comments and runs like a top. I know purists want all matching numbers etc, but this thing really fills that childhood flashback just fine if you need an SL70 to putz around the campground on. The battery was replaced last fall and the rear tire I has slightly more aggressive knobby pattern than original style. It has a title so you can get plates, but they are really only good for the neighborhood as they top out at about 35. Lights, horn work fine. Engine runs nice. Easy to start and no smoke.
