Vehicle Detail

This absolute beauty was totally restored a little over 10 years ago. Originally a Colorado truck and AQUA Blue (now RED), it’s never had a problem with rust. Everything was done right on the restoration. They even coated the step pans with a high quality epoxy as you can see in the pictures. The only disappointment has been in the overall paint job Someone who isn’t a “car” person really doesn’t notice but anyone buying this truck will notice upon touch as you need to get right up on it to notice. If one puts a good effort in some extra fine work (working out little nicks and nobs) and new coat on this gal, you will have something you wouldn’t be embarrassed to take to any show. Please don’t get me wrong, this baby will get EVERY head turning that is passes as she looks great going down the road or sitting in the grocery store parking lot. The impressive thing about the puppy is the mechanics of it. This old girl starts up like a brand new car. I’ve yet to be left anywhere as “being left” is always an expectation with a 60 year old vehicle. She also has a great, naturally throaty rumble to her idle; reminds me of a Harley almost. A great sounding truck. I was getting ready to retrofit an A/C- Heating unit and power steering kit when this got forced on me. Adding these two items would make this truck a REALLY enjoyable vehicle during all seasons. I would probably end up driving it daily if I made these changes. This a REALLY great older restoration that will never need any more attention for the rest of it’s life if treated properly. You WILL NOT be disappointed. I have almost every kind of “support” information you would need to own this ol’ girl. She has the upgraded options of the Pontiac 336 V8 engine and the 4 speed manual on the floor; a rare, but desirable combination for this model (only reason I considered putting the A/C unit in it). A little more beef in the suspension; as this is a Model 150 or ¾ ton, not the “100”, ½ ton run of the mill model. Both run very smooth without any issues. The bed is still in beautiful condition since the restoration; marine sealed Oak planking with new bed stripping and well wheels. I have new “GMC” hubcaps that go with the truck as I was going to go “native” and try to get everything back as close to original as possible. The original owner seemed to like the hot rod wheel look and I just never got around to changing it out. The interior is in great condition; although you might want to recover the seat. I was waiting to finish everything before doing so as the current state works just fine for me. As you can see, it has the driver side, side upper mirror option. You might notice the “custom” tailgate on this puppy; cool but not original. I don’t have the original that came with the truck but I do have one that’s in premium condition; this standard tailgate will also come with the truck. Heck, just the tailgate and manuals I have will clear you $1,000. Just parting this baby out of the “easy” pieces will garner you an easy $15,000; but do me a favor, slap a nice paint job on this girl and stroll her around the shows, you’ll have a ball. As you can see, the engine bay, even after 10 years is clean enough to eat off. System’s been flipped over to a standard 12 volt so no issues there. I really love this truck but I’ve come to know that no matter what I do I cannot have this ol girl not sitting in the garage. We moved a month ago and I thought that if I spent $500 on the most expensive car cover available on the market it would be enough to settle my anxiety about this truck not sitting in the garage; nope, ain’t gonna happen. The truck cover works great but it’s not nearly the same as it sitting in the garage and this girl deserves the garage. I can’t sleep at night and as much as it kills me, I have to find a new home for her. Please help me out and give her a nice, dry garage, not required to be climate controlled but is desired. A non insulting fair price, at a huge personal loss will be accepted to the right home. There’s nothing you will need to take care of this vehicle and parts are really not a big deal, finding or paying for them, both are very reasonable. Believe it or not, you will be able to do much of the work yourself with all the reference materials I send with the truck. This is not something you need 5 different computers to “assess” the situation. It’s pretty much, gas, oil, and air in the tires to make it go; very simple. When it does break, and it doesn’t seem to, it’s very easy to do. I’m not a real motor head and can fiddle with most of it. I have a pretty good contact for transport that is very reasonable. Please do not call as I rarely answer my telephone. The best way to communicate is via email contact; williamsburgbuilder@yahoo.com. Thanks. A $1,000.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due within 48 hours via wire transfer. Balance due within 7 days of auction end. If balance is not received within 7 days, the NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is immediately forfeited.
