Up for auction is a clean, sharp piece of Detroit history. This 1965 Ford Mustang has been restored, although the original 289 V8 has been replaced by a deep-breathing 302 V8 with aluminum SVO cylinder heads. The car has been upgraded from manual brakes to power, although you will find the original style drums at each corner. The transmission is a solid, smooth C4 automatic, and the rear axle is an original 8-inch open differential. Dual-exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers give this musclecar a healthy rumble. The hood and trunk lid are fiberglass, which saves weight and looks good.  It is a rust-free California car with a clean title. There are a couple of flaws in the paint, and there is one rip in the side of the drivers seat. (You can see it in the pics.) The choke has not been hooked up, so it's a bit cold-blooded.
