Unfortunately, most of the ones you find nowadays are miled-out and ragged out since they've been run into the ground. This 2001 F250 was the first year o the upgrded 7.3 and it breaks that mold thanks to its amazing condition. It's hard to find an F250 that wasn't a work truck but this one is the LARIAT model so it's loaded up with options including chrome nerf bars, leather seats, bedliner, chrome bumpers, fog lights, and more. Plus, with only 253k miles it, this truck is barely broken-in! We've sold 7.3-powered hotshot trucks with over 500,000 miles on the original engine! Of course, it runs PERFECT. Fly in and drive it home! We would not hesitate to drive this truck ANYWHERE! If there were any other options you could've ordered, then we can't think of them.The a/c blows ICE COLD as well it should and the batteries are hot so there are no starting issues. The big 20" ALLOY WHEELS give this truck a great stance plus it appears to have a small lift kit to give it the right stance. The bedliner is in great shape & hasn't been cut for a gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch. Best of all, this is a real Southern truck with ABSOLUTELY NO RUST that was just traded-in at the local Ford dealer on a new one. It has no previous salvage or flood damage. The paint shines like new. The 7.3 runs great rest assured it's a strong motor and the trans shifts out strong with no slipping. We've had this truck for a while now and have been using it mainly to move campers and also pull a 1-car trailer around. However, I just bought a new '13 King Ranch I've got to pay for so I can't afford to have any extra toys laying around anymore that I don't really need so this one has to go. Review of the 2003 Ford F-250 Super Duty (pretty much the same as our '01) The Ford is a fine choice, but the newer Dodge and General Motors heavy-duty trucks should also be considered. Pros Rugged construction, multiple configurations, competent off-road capabilities, high towing and payload capacities. The 2003 model year sees a new Off-Road Package with skid plates, Rancho front and rear shocks, a steering damper and decals. The regular off-road package is no longer available, but a skid plate package can still be had on all 4WD trucks. All XLs can be had with a vinyl 40/20/40 reclining split bench that has a fold down armrest with a console and cupholders. Ford has also upgraded seat material quality, and installed a tailgate lock on this trim level. If you order a SuperCab or Crew Cab in XLT trim with the Sport Package, you can also order a reverse sensing system and a power driver seat. Late-availability additions include an optional power moonroof for Crew Cabs and optional heated telescoping trailer tow mirrors with integrated turn signals. A King Ranch version of the Crew Cab will also appear later in the year. Finally, the torque rating for the 7.3-liter turbodiesel V8 has been boosted to 525 pound feet. By mid-year, expect an even more-powerful 6.0-liter diesel to appear. Commercial/small business demand is one of the fastest growing segments in the expanding truck market. With its F-Super Duty trucks, Ford is aiming squarely at fulfilling this segment. The Super Duty trucks are built on a separate platform than the smaller F-150. The line of trucks comes in 44 different configurations, many of which are unique to the truck market. Ford Super Duty trucks are powered by a Triton 5.4-liter V8 or a 6.8-liter V10. The V8 generates 260 horsepower at 4,500 rpm and 350 pound-feet of torque at 2,500 rpm. The V10 generates 275 horsepower at 4,250 rpm and 410 lb-ft of torque at 2,650 rpm. A 7.3-liter diesel V8 is also available, and it makes 250 horsepower at 2,700 rpm and 505 lb-ft of torque at 1,600 rpm. Ford F-Super Duty models are available in Regular Cab, four-door SuperCab, and Crew Cab. The overall look is much more aggressive than the standard F-150, and its bigger dimensions allow Ford to used larger cabs without compromising load space. Given their size, the F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks maintain a confident on- and off-road feel. They feature updated power steering systems and enhanced suspension components to improve vehicle ride, handling, responsiveness and maneuverability. Just don't mistake them for a car. Unlike the F-150, Dodge Ram and Chevy Silverado (all of which have become much more comfortable and user-friendly these past few years), the Super Duty vehicles are true trucks. They ride harshly when unloaded and 4x4 trucks come only with manually locking hubs. These manual hubs (along with the solid front and rear axles) do give the Super Duty trucks improved off-road capabilities, however. Inside, the roomy cabs have larger, more comfortable seats and greater seat-track travel. In addition, there are many interior convenience features designed for today's stylish business owners. For example, a fold-down armrest and utility bin is designed to house a portable fax machine or laptop computer. In the Crew Cab XLT and Lariat models, a new rear bench seat incorporates a fold-down armrest and a cupholder. For truck owners who don't want to skimp on luxury, leather seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, air conditioning and power windows are just some of the many options available. The F-Super Duty series isn't for everyone. However, if you need more truck than the regular F-Series can provide, Ford has quite an impressive lineup to peruse. Now the fine print...
