Vehicle Detail
2009 Triumph Bonneville America 865cc: This motorcycle has low miles and is in good condition. This bike when in excellent condition Kelly Blue Books at $5445.00 (KBB assumes 12,000 miles). I wouldn't call it in excellent condition but it definitely is in good plus condition. It ONLY has 4550 miles (miles will change slightly, I drive the bike to work once a week)…which is extremely low for a motorcycle of its age. It was dropped by the previous owner, very little of this drop “shows”. The right side mirror and the very bottom of the aftermarket pipes is scratched, you have to be looking at the bottom of the bike to notice it. The tank was damaged but was repaired. Metal was pulled back out….not filled with body filler, tank was pressure tested and then resealed….in other words, it was done right. The paint is NOT perfect on the tank; the clear coat has orange peel but its looks good going down the road, stripes were painted in not decals but they aren't the best, again the tank paint is not show room finish. There are some scratches from installing and removing the passenger seat from previous owner, I put some touch up paint over it. As well as some other small scratches….if you are looking for a comfortable cruiser, a starter bike or something to turn into a “bobber” This is the perfect bike, really fun to ride. Google image search “triumph America bobber” for ideas! The pipes are aftermarket and sound somewhere between a cruiser and a race bike (not a crotch rocket). Its a unique sound, I assume due to the 270 crank Triumph is known for..... Note: This item is being SOLD locally as well and the auction may end at anytime. However if you are bidding on the item and the auction ends you have won the item...you have not won an opportunity to come see it. Replaced in the last 100 miles: New AGM Battery Engine Oil Oil Filter Fuel Filter Spark plugs Rear brake light pressure switch Rear brake fluid Bike comes with: Windshield (removable, I do not have to bolts/nuts to attach it-your local Lowes should have what you need for about $5) Leather saddle bags Easily attached passenger seat (fits in saddle bag) Tires have good tread Owner’s manual Workshop manual on CD Misc maintenance records Original Triumph Add: With distinctive cruiser styling and design, the America not only has the looks, but delivers exactly what the rider wants in more ways than one. Sit back, put your feet up and settle into a riding position that’s built for comfort. Take hold of the pulled back bars and listen to our traditional British air-cooled 865cc parallel twin emit an even gruntier, off beat sound that’s even more unique and distinctive, thanks to the 270º crank. Twist the throttle and feel the effortless torquey performance that ensures every journey on an America is a ride to remember.
