Up for sale is a fun 1981 Toyota Corolla. The car has a 5 speed manual transmission. I recently found out this car runs hot and I do not have time to repair it. The car starts and drives fine but after about 20 minutes of driving the temp gauge starts to rise. On my last drive, I had to add water to the radiator to make it home. The car is solid but I do not recommend taking the car on a long drive until after the issue is resolved. It is a good little car but I suspect it will need a new head gasket installed. You can purchase a new head gasket kit from places such as AutoZone for about $50. I simply do not have time to do the work. This is a no reserve auction. Here is a list of what has recently been done to it along with my cost. -New Carburetor from National Carburetor $200 -New Radiator $130 -New Thermostat $16 -New Battery $100 -New Horn - $20 -New NGK Spark Plugs - $10 -AC has been converted to run r134a. It blows nice and cold. $30 -Exhaust repair - $100 The car also has a problem with the fuel gauge. It is not very accurate and the low fuel light sometimes stays on. The fuel sending unit will need to be replaced to fix this. Recent work has been done on the exhaust as well. The car had a restriction in the exhaust that prevented it from going over 50 mph. The restriction has been corrected. You can see the exhaust work in the under body picture. I have done by best to describe this vehicle and have included detailed photos.
