1972 VW Super Beetle. (Vin # 1122025288, engine # E338165). Clear Florida title. Mechanically completely restored, needs upholstery, carpet, headliner, minor bodywork and paint to finish. All the following are new: 1641cc ‘Big Bore’ cylinders and pistons, dual port cylinder heads, mild street cam, high capacity oil pump with spin off filter, crankshaft and thrust bearings, generator, starter, fuel pump, clutch, twin carbs, electronic ignition, crankshaft sand seal kit, drive shafts, oil cooler and high capacity sump, exhaust, tires, complete front suspension, wheel bearings, shocks, polyurethane bushes, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake pipes, pads, shoes, front disc conversion kit, headlight with fog light conversion, steering wheel, gas tank, all body seals, brand new windshield (still in the box), chrome door hardware, window regulators, body trim strips, door cards and interior panels, stainless steel running boards (they look white in the picture – that’s the protective plastic still in place), Dakota Digital Instrument system (special to VW). Rust free floor panels. Note – heater has been converted to J tubes. (Spare transmission, not new, included). It needs: Upholstery (one front seat is dismantled) minor bodywork, carpet, headliner and paint. In addition the clutch and brakes need adjusting. Previous owner did weld a couple of patches inside the front wheel arches but did a good job. All glass is included but windshield, rear screen and one quarter light need fitting). This would make a perfect base for a kit car / dune buggy or just complete the restoration. As it is now, it runs and drives. The reserve price is lower than the cost of all the new parts even if you just wanted to part it out to use on another vehicle. No warranty is expressed or implied.
