Vehicle Detail
A True Classic 1966 Lincoln Convertible with the Infamous Suicide Doors. Royal Maroon is the color and this car has never been repainted. This Convertible has only 84,929 miles and has been owned by One Owner since 1970. In addition, it has been stored in doors since that time. The motor turns over and starts right up when it was recently started on a temporary fuel cell. The main fuel tank should be cleaned or replaced. The Interior is original and is in very good to excellent condition for being original. The Dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading. The Convertible top works and goes up and down smoothly. The top is water tight and may be used as is and it is not necessary to replace. The radio works well and the antenna operates smoothly. The Clock works as well. The lights work along with the turn signals and back up lights. However it will need a few bulbs(one headlight bulb is burned out along with the passenger side front turn signal). The only negative thing about the car is the rust behind the rear wheels and behind the front left fender and a few other spots. The floors and trunk are solid. The glass is all good with no cracks. The power seat works well. The tires and brakes will need to be replaced although they will work enough to move the car. The car should be given a thorough cleaning and would probably look a lot better as it is in the same condition since coming out of storage. This car also has the rare factory ski/luggage rack. Overall the car is in pretty nice shape and with some TLC it will be an awesome car. This is an excellent opportunity to own a desirable 1966 suicide door convert! In addition, it has a very reasonable reserve. Whoever buys this vehicle will be able to put a few dollars into the body and restore it to desired condition. All potential buyers are more than welcome to come and inspect vehicle before the auction closes. Please ask any and all questions. Happy bidding!
