For sale: 2002 Honda Insight for parts and battery. The car was just involved in a crash that rendered it salvage. I just bought a reconditioned battery for it. I has less that 3000 miles and is still very new. I paid over $3000 for the battery and it is still under the 3 year warranty. *update* *I have called the shop that I had install the battery and apparently they did not install the battery brand that I requested. I am currently trying to track down the battery company to see if the battery warranty is transferable. The shop is not being forth coming on information to me. The one I was supposed to get in the car was transferable but this one may not be*. I was told that it is the new 8amp hour battery vs the original 6amp hour battery. It has more capacity. 2 new tires with less that 100 miles. Engine still runs but will need new pulley, top cover. The battery was purchased on 12/13/13. A refurbished battery from Honda was quoted to me over $5000 with installation. This is a great deal with the car as well for parts. Mileage on car not exact. Auto does NOT drive. It will need a tow dolly or similar to be transported. Not parting out. Whole car for sale only. Feel free to ask questions and I will get back to you.The rest of the car: It has 2 brand new tires on the rear. Just got those last week as of this posting(has not be driven since accident either). There is some small scratches on the rim from the accident. The front 2 still have a lot of meat left. I believe that the tires and rims will fit on any civic hybrid. The engine still has quite a few miles left within it. Still runs very well. I used only the best on the engine when doing tune ups. Honda factory spark plugs (still very new), always used Mobile 1 full synthetic and top-tear oil filters. I change the trans fluid every 10,000 miles with Honda only trans fluid. The interior is still very good. We used seat covers and cleaned often. The seat covers are custom made for this car and were expensive. Normal wear and tear stuff. All glass still intact. paint is still very good on the body(though some of it is damaged now).
