Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 2000 Honda Civic. It has a 4 cylinder 1.6 liter engine, 5 speed manual transmission, CD player, Power Windows, Power Locks, Cruise Control, A/C, Rear Spoiler, less than 125,000 miles. I've owned this car since 2006 and its never let me down. It starts every time, even when the temperature hit -25 (-55 wind chill) this winter. Engine, transmission, clutch all work flawlessly. I bought this car in early 2006. I didn't realize when I bought it (the seller never mentioned it) that the car had a salvage title. I still don't know what happened to it, or what was replaced on it but when i bought it, it had 42,000 miles on it. in the 8 years that i've owned it, the only work i've done on it, other than routine maintenance, is 2 brake jobs, completely had the exhaust system redone in 2012, and a new battery. This car gets up to 40 mpg on the highway and about 34 in the city. I typically average about 36 mpg. which is great with gas prices so high! Just put new tires on the car, less than 300 miles on new tires.I recently bought a new car so I'm getting rid of my Civic. When I stopped driving the car a couple weeks ago, everything worked perfectly, as I religiously fixed things as they needed it. I also did routine maintenance. When I just took the car out for a drive I felt a little rub in the brakes. It may just be from sitting for 2 weeks but I felt it appropriate to mention. Earlier this spring I did a little body work on the door and fender because they were just starting to get some surface rust. I ground off all the rust and applied bondo and paint and you can't even tell that it ever had any rust. Given the age of the car, I would suspect that there would be more rust at some point. The only other thing I can think of, as far as problems with the car is that the rear view mirror fell off several years ago and I just left it off because I thought it looked cool. I still have the mirror, however, and will be sending it with the car. While this is a very cool little car, please remember that its 14+ years old. The interior is relatively clean, though i'm sure there is a stain here or there. I tried to get as many pictures of the interior as i could so you can judge for yourself. Thats about all i can think of, but if i think of any more information, i'll be sure to add it. please email me with any questions and i'll be sure to answer promptly.Earlier tonight I listed this car as an "Si" which was pointed out to me that it more than likely was not since it didn't have any of the markings that an Si would have. From doing a little more research it looks like it may be an EX.
