Up for auction is a 1954 Corvette. The car is a true barn find and was found out in west Texas. The car has been in a dirt floor barn for the past 19 years waiting to be saved. This car has a lot of hard to find trim and has not been picked over or disassembled. Currently the car has a 1961 283 in it. The V8 swap was done very nice. Original radiator and over flow/tank were used. Also the motor mounts are directly bolted in to the factory 6 cylinder mounts. No back yard butcher or hack job. I was very pleased to see this. The frame is very solid. Only some very light rear cross member repair needed as show in the pictures. Original front suspension and brakes. Correct rear end and leaf springs. Car looks like a mild 60's-70's custom. I want to make note, The convertible deck lid cover is original 53-55, however the top holes were cut for 57 up convertible hardware ?? The soft top frame, windshield post and top windshield stainless are missing. I am assuming some one was going to make an attempt to use a later soft top/windshield frame possibly ?? The seats look correct however the center console (waterfall) is a 56-57 piece. I have the correct center console and stainless I will include to the winning bidder. The gas tank has been cleaned and the car will run(not drivable). Master cylinder will need to be rebuilt. The pedal goes to the floor. Side curtains are in the trunk. Heater box is complete and in place. Cowl vent and lever along with the parking break lever is all there. Almost a complete set of bumpers. Missing one bullet and 2 or 3 small inners/verticals. There is light damage at the passenger side lower valence under the grille. About a fist size spot. The grille oval and teethe are original and very very nice. What you see is what you get. Some small parts in boxes. Lots of correct nuts, bolts and hardware included. Majority of stainless on the car will need repair/restoration. I have a 54 and a 55 corvette. I am well aware of what the small parts are worth and what it cost to build these cars. I have located a soft top frame and missing windshield frame parts. I will forward that info to the winning bidder. Please ask any and all questions BEFORE bidding. I reserve the right to end the auction early. I am NOT interested in selling any parts off this car.
