Vehicle Detail
1941 Ford 2 Dr Sedan Chopped Rat Street Rod V8 Auto PS PB Reasonable Rides and Rods presents this really cool chopped 1941 Ford 2 Door Sedan for your consideration. This ’41 runs and drives good and could be finished as a rat rod, or evolve into a really nice street rod. Our plan was to take it to the next level, but we currently have too many customer projects to get to it soon. It has a clear title and is titled correctly as a ’41 Ford. Body The all steel body is in really good condition. The top has been chopped several inches and was done well. There is some filler here and there in the car, but most of the metal is straight and original. The floors have been re-done and are solid, and the rear tubs have been widened for bigger tires. There is very little rust (mostly surface) left on the car. You could easily fill all of the trim holes and shoot it black or another color and use it as a rat rod driver. Interior/Glass/Trim We do have most of the exterior trim that will come with the car. We also have the fuel filler door. The car has power leather front seats from a modern sedan. It also has a tilt steering column. Outside of that, the interior is fairly bare bones. The front and rear glass is installed and sealed. The front quarter windows are plexi glass. We don’t have door glass or side window glass, however, it will use flat glass that any glass company can cut. Engine/Trans/Suspension The engine is a late model 302. It runs great and doesn’t knock or smoke. It has plenty of power and fires right up on the turn of the key. It has an aluminum intake and Edelbrock carb. The engine is backed by a C4 automatic transmission. The trans works as it should and goes through all gears fine. The rear end is a non-posi GM 10 bolt. The front suspension is a GM clip. We’re not sure what car was the donor, but it uses standard GM parts. It does have power steering with a GM pump. The frame is in great shape. All of the suspension is tight and the car drives down the road great. The brakes are GM front disc and drum rear. They are power brakes and have the booster mounted under the hood. Overall This is a cool ’41 Ford with a chopped top and a great stance. It starts, runs, and drives just fine. All of the lights work and it could be registered and driven anywhere. We already drive it around town and we have had it up to 70 mph without any issues. That being said, it is a work in progress. Keep it as rat rod and weekend cruiser, or take it to the next level and make it really nice. It’s a great foundation with a lot of potential.
