About the Limited 5.9 Model -- this is not just a Jeep with a bigger engine! It was available only for the 1998 model year and was claimed to be the fastest production SUV in the US when introduced. On the exterior, 5.9 Limited Jeeps are distinguished by their functional hood louvers, paint-matched honeycomb grill, and unique "silver star" alloy wheels. On the interior, 5.9 Limited Grand Cherokees are treated to rich calf-grain leather, special interior wood accents, and stitched leather shift knobs/center arm rest/door handles unlike the simulated leather/plastics found in lesser model Jeeps. This particular Jeep runs & drives well! This Jeep was traded it at a new-car Chrysler/Jeep dealership in NW Ohio and I purchased the Jeep from them. The 5.9 L engine runs strong with plenty of power. The automatic transmission shifts smooth with no issues. This Jeep is loaded with all the options like power/heated leather seats, power windows and locks, cruise control, keyless, and so much more. Zero accident history per autocheck! Mechanically, this Jeep is in good condition. Engine & Transmission are 100%. I have not noticed any leaks on the ground where this Jeep has been sitting. The brakes stop the car smooth and straight. While driving the steering & suspension components appears to be in good shape. The 4 matching tires have plenty of tread remaining and the vehicle drives straight down the road. Full size spare tire with cover is located in the rear cargo area. No vibrations at all when driving. There is a bit of a driveline whine above 35 mph that is most apparent under acceleration and deceleration. Overall, this vehicle drives very nicely for its age and mileage. All the power options work like they should (windows, locks, mirrors, keyless entry, memory seats) except nothing happens when you hit the power sunroof switch (I took it through an automatic car wash and it did not leak). The automatic climate control works and this Jeep blows air on all blower levels and wherever you want it to (vents, defroster, etc) however the A/C is blowing out warm. The Jeep is equipped with the Infinity Gold sound system AM/FM/CD - the radio powers up great and sounds very good. There are no check engine or other "dummy lights" illuminated on the dashboard. The informational display is indicating that there is a rear-taillight bulb out but I do not see a defective bulb. All of the gauges read properly and there are no abnormal readings. The engine runs smooth with no lack of power at all. Very particular buyers may say there is a small exhaust leak near the rear doors but not very noticeable at all. The keyless entry system appears to be working properly with the key fob. Cosmetically -- this car looks in good shape. The exterior paint is in good condition. There is no visible rust on the body. All glass is in-tact and in good condition. The alloy wheels are in very good condition. The interior is in very condition with no rips or major discoloration. High quality floor mats are included although in used condition. Check out the pictures - they speak for themselves! I have tried to capture both the positives and the flaws in those pictures. There is small damage to the rear bumper on the passenger side, a little paint missing from the louvers on the hood, and the headlight are faded/contain moisture (see picture). There are minor scrapes in the leather seats but no rips/tears/holes. These are minor imperfections that are consistent with the vehicle age. Overall, this Jeep shows extremely nice and will be a vehicle that you can be proud of! I have tried my best to represent this vehicle accurately and to the best of my abilities. Earning and keeping a 100% positive feedback rating is very important to me! I purchase most of my vehicles as trade-ins from new car dealerships as traded. I test drive each vehicle on the expressway and around town for at least 20 miles, often over 100 miles, and use that experience to represent the vehicle to you on eBay.
