This is a 1928 model a leatherback. This particular one was made september 5 1928. I know because it is stamped on the firewall. It is in great condition. Starts easy, dosent smoke. Drives perfact, no slack in steering. Breaks work perfectly. . has been fitted with a 6 volt alternator. . But I still have the original generator for it.. 60-A Leather back is rare find and was the first Model A Fordor sedan. Only made for about 6 months..The Fordor was announced in early 1928, but didn't go into production until mid-May. The most identifying feature of the 1928 Leather back was the pebble grain artificial leather roof trim. The Leather back fordor bodies were produced by Briggs Manufacturing Co., in Dearborn, Michigan.. The model a 4 door was a low production model and was considered very classy in its day.
