Looks like it was a high hit to the right front and side door. Front cooling components shifted out of position and may or may not be reusable. No damage to the engine or transmission. The great news is that the car starts, engine runs great, goes into gear and we are able to drive it around within our lot. We directly purchase from insurance auctions and no middle man involved. Insurance companies usually salvage vehicles due to collision, theft, flood..etc. but this doesn't mean that they are beyond repair. In most cases its not the actual damage to the car that causes a vehicle to be salvaged but the circumstances under which they are declared salvage. For example, theft recovered vehicles are always salvaged since they are usually recovered after the owner is paid off by the insurance company.
