1974 Honda XL175 with a 2007 Lifan 200 gy-5 200cc motor swap The title shows the bike's approximately 9800 miles and the odometer is showing 11k or so. The miles on the swap motor are unknown but said to have been under 1k. The previous owner did the swap so that he could have a reliable commuter with some parts availability. Plus a 12V and CDI system with electric start. He did a nice job with the swap. Everything works. Runs great. Looks nice. The 200cc motor starts easily and runs well. Started up with the first push of the button this season. It does have electric start- something the original set up did not. It has the original exhaust mated to the newer header. Sounds right, runs right. Should have a seasonal freshen up/tune as it has been stored for a year. Bike is set up with the controls from the 200cc donor. So, the switchgear on the bars is all modern. The dash is custom with the ignition and warning lights. Gauge duties are assumed by a Vapor digital set up. Looks cool and works well. The side covers are excellent. The tank also looks excellent. It was restored by the previous owner at the time of the swap. Wheels and fenders have been painted gray/silver and look nice. There is also a handy rear rack from another bike that was modified to fit the XL. It was also painted and that paint is wearing off in spots. Frame has been restored/painted as well. Everything in nice shape. Tires are excellent. Seat is excellent. Nice aftermarket RFY shocks. Open, clean MA title in my name. I have no more than 20 miles on this bike. It was registered and on the road but just not enough time for it. Fun little bike. Hate to part with this. I'm selling my small assortment of bikes because the mean ol' insurance inspector has kicked my out of my storage space. I no longer have room to store or to work on bikes so I'm selling them off.
