I am selling my 1988 mustang gt. All panels are rust free. All lights are new OEM ford except for the clear corner lenses. The ground effects are OEM ford cobra, no aftermarket pieces. The cobra grille is molded into the front cover, the rear wing is a saleen wing. Hood is a 2 3/4 inch cowl hood with smooth bottom. All jams are painted and detailed, panels all fit nice, doors shut perfect. Paint is Sikkens urethane base and clear in the original shade of red. Flames are made of pearl, and are red, blue, silver, white, and magenta. The flames do glow under street lights at night, and also change colors as you walk around the car. Dauber hand outlined the flames in silver and did all the other detail painting. Four coats if clear were applied and shines like glass. the seats and door panels have been redone in black cloth, doors have matching inserts on them as the seats. There is no rear seat, this is a two seater!! Headliner and carpet are black replacements. The six point roll cage is custom made, and is not just welded to the floor. The cage is fully welded to 2x4 channel that goes from the rockers to the frame, all fully welded. And those are connected to the box channel frame ties that are fully welded, with driveshaft loop. Pillar gauges are autometer fuel psi and boost psi, and monster tach with shift light. Speedo is ford motorsport, in the glove box is the dial for boost retard. Foot pedals are hand made of stainless steel, in place of the rear seat is an enclosure with two storage compartments. The transmission is a ford world class t-5 with a 2.95 first gear, centerforce dual friction clutch. A steeda quadrant with a firewall adjuster, and b@m ripper shifter. Aluminum driveshaft new steel and friction plates in the rear end with a lightning center spring. Mac bolstered aluminum cover and royal purple synthetic in rear, and syncromesh fluid in trans. Paxon Novi 2000 supercharger with a 2,95 pulley and 10 rib belt. The original 302 was bored .030 over and fitted with forged and flycut pistons. The rotating assembly was all polished and balanced. Cam was dialed in and is a motorsport E-cam. Heads are edelbrock 2.02 1.60 aluminum performers all gasget matched with crane gold 1.6 full roller rockers. Head bolts and gaskets are ford severe service kit, ideal for boost, and comp ratio is at 8.3-1. All machine work done at D@D race engines in carthage. All new parts throughout. 90mm mass air and Anderson ford power pipe, 70mm throttle body, edelbrock performer intake with phenolic spacer, billet aluminum fuel rails with 42lb injectors, aeromotive braided lines, regulator and AN fittings. With a fuel psi gauge under hood as well as in car. Purge and egr are removed and ecu was tuned to ignore them. As well as the ecu's redline was raised to 9000rpms. That way the msd has full control. BBK equal length headers, off road h-pipe and two chamber flow masters with stainless lx tips. Pauls automotive in blue ash did the dyno pulls and the custom tune. Has a front mounted oil cooler plumbed in braided stainless and AN fittings. Polished aluminum radiator cobra water pump pulley and police service fan clutch, and has 150 amp alternator. has 496 rear wheel horsepower, 450 rear wheel tourque, this equates to about 575 hp at the flywheel. I have not run the car at any track, it pulls very strong thru all gears. has a complete cobra -r brake kit from ford. this is a total replacement of all brake parts, even the brake booster all the way to the park brake cables. It converted to 5 lug and sealed hub bearings, with 13inch fronts and 12 inch rear rotors. front wheels are 17x7 with sumitomo 245/45z/17 rears are 17x10.5 with sumitomo 315/35z/17. The rears are huge and look great on the car. This is a lot of tire on the rear and the rub just a little but only when rear axle is on an angle, like driveway curbs for example, during regular driving it is not an issue. Has camber/caster plates, kyb struts ford motorsport springs-street kit, Lakewood lift bars that are adjustable, urethane bushings on sway bars kyb rear shocks newer rack and pinion southside upper control arms in the rear. There are only a few issues with the car, first it really needs a good set of electric fans, it will get hot if you get caught in traffic, I have never let it overheat, it has never come close, its just something that needs addressed, this is also causing the a/c not to work properly. there is a very small rock chip in the hood, its not in the flame luckily its in the red. the roll cage is starting cause damage to the sides of the front seats, they cant be seen until you tilt the seats forward. email for more pictures or questions, no tire kickers or joyrides! I entered this car in a Mustang car show and it won first place in the modified class.
