Vehicle Detail

1963 JAGUAR E-TYPE XKE SERIES ONE 3.8 LITER COUPE. ORIG BLACK WITH RED INTERIOR. Up for sale is a 1963 Jaguar XKE Series one 3.8 coupe. Originally a black with red trim California car this Jaguar was purchased in Albuquerque, New Mexico by my Grandfather in 1985. he worked on it slowly for many years. The car has been upgraded in many areas including a professionally rebuilt 4.2 triple carb engine, runs smooth for a few minutes with a battery and a squirt of gas. Cooling system is not hooked up. Carbs need rebuilt. Rebuilt full synchromesh gear box, Series 3 brakes and booster. Front suspension was rebuilt with new ball joints and nylon bushings. The Rear sub frame was also removed and any worn parts or bushings were replaced. The engine bay was blasted and painted red. The body is in great shape, solid floors, no accident damage or rust. bonnet is in great shape and has never been crunched, fits good. All interior trim is present. Seats are still soft and appear to be red re-died maroon. Dash material gauges and switches appear to work and are in great condition. All the parts are there except the wiper motor as far as I know. Comes with lots of extra parts: Original brakes, original 3.8 engine, 5 spare knock offs, spare windows, rear glass, and pop outs. extra door handles and window cranks. Lots of duplicate small hardware, some of it freshly zinc plated. The car comes with freshly re-chromed bumpers, Amco bar, and door handles. A box with all new rubber seals for the whole car including, windshield, rear glass, door seals, pop outs, window felts and all that good stuff. The original exhaust is in great shape showing no signs of being bottomed out, chrome is still great on the rear mufflers and tips. This is a great car ready to be finished. would be stunning in its original black and red, The early ones are getting harder to find. Don't miss out on owning the most beautiful car ever made. 2500lbs, 250hp, 150mph, The car is located in Southwest Missouri and can be viewed by appointment.
