The StoryLet me begin by saying that this is not your normal everyday Honda GL1500 Goldwing. This bike truly IS "The Dream Wing" This wonderful touring motorcycle is a dream come true for any rider lucky enough to own it. I have poured my heart and soul into this motorcycle; completely restoring it literally from the ground up. I am not exaggerating one bit when I tell you that I have spent more than $10,000 on just chrome, lighting, mechanical parts, accessories and electronic add-ons. That's NOT even counting the cost of the bike. Yes, I went a little crazy on maintenance, upgrades and accessories. Also, every body piece on this Goldwing, with exception of the saddlebags, was painted in 2014 with tri-coat Honda factory candy red spectra paint and 5 coats of clear. What is tri-coat? It is a 3 step painting process. 1. First the base coat is applied which was a metallic copper color. 2. Next the candy coat was applied which is a semi-transparent candy apple red color which allows the base metal flake to show through. 3. And finally, the clear coat was applied. Then every piece was wet sanded and buffed. All chrome parts, mechanical parts, LED lighting and electronic accessory listed below was installed brand new in 2014. I don't think its possible to add any other chrome accessory to this bike. I have added almost every chrome part available for the GL1500.There are many luxury features on a Honda Goldwing GL1500 Aspencade including Reverse, Electronic Cruise Control, Adjustable Electronic Air Ride Suspension, Mechanical Fuel Gauge and an Onboard Air Compressor to pump up tires and inflatables. This one has it all and they all work flawlessly!This Honda Goldwing GL1500 is the smoothest most quiet touring bike you'll ever own. When you go over bumps, railroad tracks etc. you just don't feel it. The best way to describe it is that it's like riding a Cadillac on two wheels. You pretty much float when you ride.If you're looking for a cheap Goldwing to cruise around town in then don't bid on this bike. This is NOT what your looking for. On the other hand, if you're looking for of the nicest and most beautiful GL1500 Goldwings in the country, then you have come to the right auction. This Goldwing was approximately $20,000 brand new when it came off the Marysville, Ohio assembly line; and that's without the additional chrome and accessories that I've added. Why I am Selling...I lost my job in February of 2014 and am struggling to find work in this anemic economy. The jobs just aren't out there in my field and in my area. I have nearly exhausted all my savings and now need money to live on and to pay for my daughter's prescription medicine which runs more than $1000 per month. I am a single dad raising a 16 year old daughter and that takes money. So you see, I am selling out of necessity and not because I want to because I LOVE this bike and it kills me that I have to give up my "Dream Wing" in order to stay afloat. But we sometimes have to make sacrifices in order to live and care for our families. I am hoping to get at least $15,000 for my Goldwing with all I have put into it but I am in need of money rather quickly so I am listing this auction with a starting bid of $1 for 10 days with no reserve! I also have this listed for sale locally for $15,000 and so I do reserve the right to cancel this auction if I do get a reasonable offer. I will entertain all offers and will gladly end the listing early provided that we stay within eBay guidelines. I welcome anyone who would like to view the bike in advance and take it for a ride. In fact I encourage it. If you see it, you will surely want to own it. TransportationI am willing to deliver this Goldwing ANYWHERE in the U.S. or meet part way at a cost of $1 per mile. For example, if you live 1000 miles away, your cost will be $1000 delivered. I won't charge for the return trip back.
