Up for auction is a 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MKII. This is the 3 carburetor model, 4 seater.This car's first owner was a police officer who purchased it from a California dealership. After his death, I purchased this car from his wife, who kept the car in her garage for many years due to a problem with the electrical wiring, making me the second owner of this car. It has stayed in California, and I hold a California title in my name.The original color was white, which I decided to keep. It also has the original VIN numbers and tags, as well as the original engine. The car has been fully professionally restored. This car was in exceptional shape even prior to restoration. The car was rust-free, and therefore, none of the frame or body panels needed to be replaced.The car was fully disassembled, sand-blasted, cleaned with special chemicals, and primed. It was painted fully with a clear coat paint after being fully polished. All the chrome pieces have been rechromed. All the parts that have been changed for new parts include: wiring, all body rubber pieces, entire brake system, all interior + seat foams, carpets, door panels, dashboard, chrome rims, battery, trunk, trunk floor carpet, front windshield, complete stainless steel exhaust system, gas tank, gas pump, convertible top (vinyl), and many more. The car runs and drives very tight. It has a great engine that has been rebuilt by a professional engine specialist, who mentioned that the engine was in remarkable shape. Has standard pistons, in very good shape. Piston rings and main bearings were changed, and the head was rebuilt. All the gaskets and seals have been changed, and it has a new water pump. Please do not ask me what my reserve price is. Simply bid according to what you think the car is worth. I am unable to show anyone the car until it sells.
