1974-1/2 DATSUN 260ZBuilt October, 1974(has ugly 5-mph bumpers and replaceable shocks in struts)Owned by original family until November, 2006This is an original, un-restored SURVIVOR car withone complete car repaint somewhere in its history (date?)Seat covers have also been replaced (date?)Pros: Automatic Transmission (see also under Cons) Cold Factory Air Conditioning (converted to R134-A) All gauges work except Clock New Carpeted Floor Mats New Starter (installed this month) New Tokico Gas Shocks in Rear Struts (installed this month) (Rods at base of struts slid out with NO rust) Oil & Filter changed at 104,000 miles Engine Head removed and valve job completed April, 2010 Oil pump replaced May, 2010 Aftermarket Electronic Cruise Control installed 2010 New Bridgestone Tires installed at 99,000 miles (Nov, 2008) Outer Tie Rod Ends replaced at alignment for new tires Halogen Headlights installed November, 2008 Exhaust System replaced November, 2006 Car has been garage kept since new Car has been stored every winter since new !! There is no rust in floor, frame, doors, or around hatchback Original under-coating remains on underside of car MANY maintenance receipts from original owner Car has been driven on 500 mile trips with no problems Excellent parade car...Does not overheat even with A/C on.Cons: Automatic Transmission (many will prefer Manual) Passenger Exterior Door Handle does NOT work due to broken lever arm inside door. (Have replacement part) Clock does not work One paint rust bubble on rear wheel opening (see picture) Numerous minor paint chips and scratches (none rusting) Two large cracks (typical) on top of dash pad (see picture) Front Black Bumper Extensions removed in order to bring bumper back approx. 2-1/2".
