I bought this gently driven car for my daughter eight years ago with 42,000 miles on it. She used it during high school, college, and grad school. A good number of the miles are highway from Southern Illinois to Chicago. She recently finished school and now has a Jeep instead. The car has always been a non-smoking car. Mechanically the car is in excellent condition and has been very well cared for, I wanted to make sure she had a car she could count on. Regular scheduled service has always been done by our local repair shop, We had the timing belt replaced and a valve job done at around 80,000 miles. Recently when we had a brake job done all the rotors were replaced as well as the pads, also the idler arm was replaced. Other then that this really has been a very reliable car. New tires were put on two years ago along with all new rims. If you want them I will include the stock chrome wheels, but they leak at the rim. The body is in very nice shape, we recently had some parking lot scrapes and dings taken care of and the car buffed out. The car has a new convertible top that was installed last fall, it is the factory unit with the glass rear window with defroster coils. Unfortunately over the winter another car backed into her and tore the rear bumper, and put two very small dents in the rear by the left tail light. (see pictures) The interior is quite nice, the dash, door panels, carpet, and back seat are in great shape. Has a killer little stereo / CD player with the four disk changer. The A/C blows cold and in the winter the car heats up quickly, plus the heated seats are really nice to have. The front seats, while not ripped, are getting worn at the sides, also the steering wheel has some marks on it., ( again, please see the pictures ). The interior has been kept nice and clean, except the seats look like they could use a really good scrub. The only real issue we have had with the car is that the air bag light now comes on. The dealer looked at it once, cleaned a connector under the seat and it stayed off for a while. When it started staying on again our mechanic researched it and this seems to be a common problem with this model. I have done some more research on this and it sounds like the "Clock Spring" may have gone bad. I will be checking with the dealer to see about replacing that. This car is a lot of fun to drive and with the top down and the sun in your face it is about as good as it gets.
