Offered for sale is a mostly original, very complete example of the Honda CR125M Elsinore, first year of production. Condition is very good and unrestored. This machine came from an estate sale from the original owner. Would be a great candidate for a restoration or vintage racing project. Has a pretty low serial #, looks like the 1770th one off the assembly line. Has an Ohio title. Pertinent details and description are as follows:Kickstarter still locks in it's detentFootpegs are not drooping, and mounts are goodBoth steering stops on frame neck are goodOriginal front # plate, original side # plates (one side cover has small crack)Original front & rear fenders, not cracked or brokenOriginal tires, chain & sprocketsGood seat pan & seatHad mice living in the airbox, air filter cage is useable, but could stand to be refurbished or replacedOriginal pipe, has repairable dent, is solid and in decent condition, see picsHas J&R silencer, aluminum and period-correct. Stock silencers are available on ebayChain has never been tossed and broken the left engine case, which usually isn't the case. Good, strong engine # stamping. Carb-to-airbox boot is still softHooked up kill switch, changed trans oil, mixed up some premix and started it up. Sounds goodWe didn't ride it because of the tank and stuck clutch. We did bench-shift it while running, seems OKAs you can see from the pics, we did NOT clean or attempt to restore this survivor. One of these machines, restored of course, just sold on ebay for $5776.00. This bike has the same potential. Reasonable reserve.
