Vehicle Detail
First of all,let me start by saying I'm having a really hard time putting this car on here. I like it.......a lot. This car runs and drives like brand new-still has that new Cadillac smell in the interior. I'm not going to waste any time by telling you what has been done to it. I have every piece of paperwork and receipts going back to June 19th,1974 to "repair a squeak by the steering wheel". It has had a ton of work done over the years with basic needs. The last piece of paperwork is for an lube, oil and filter change I had done about 3 weeks ago. It was repainted the original Regal Blue Firemist in 1992. The receipt for that is in the packet. The headliner, seats and carpet are near perfect. There are no cracks in the dash and everything works great. The A/C blows cold. The clock keeps perfect time. You will slightly hear it as it ticks along. This Cadillac was on the showroom floor at Utter Cadillac here in Spokane in early '74 and was bought the first day of Expo '74 World's Fair. This car was Mr. Utter's personal car and was sold with 188 miles on the odometer. The original application of title is in the pictures. Rosalia is a small town 30 miles south of here. The paperwork folder for this car is a goldmine. I have EVERYTHING. Window sticker, warranty info, the owner's manual and brochures are in the glovebox with the original leather case from '74 and besides myself...I don't think anybody even looked at them. They are MINT. The cruise control works perfectly. The white top is original and has not been replaced. The stereo works great. The antenna is stuck on the up position at the moment. I will check the fuse here tomorrow sometime. I've been getting around 17 mpg in the city driving around which is not bad for the motor size and the year. It has a full tank of gas in it right now and I can have it drained if need be for shipping requirements. The mileage is true-the engine has never been out of the car. Runs quiet and smooth...like a Swiss watch. Transmission shifts smoothly and quietly as well. Road noise is near nothing. All lights work great. The power door locks are not working at the moment but as you will see....a used door popper is included. This car has only gone a little over 16,000 miles in the last 24 years. You will figure it out when you look through the paperwork. As you will see,I tracked down the parts that are needed to bring this car back to 100 percent. I have everything and it wasn't much but the parts were hard to find. You will not need to look-they are included with the car. I don't even want to tell you how much the little right piece of molding was(someone stole it off the car while it was the parking lot). I really don't know what else to say-I think the pictures will speak for themselves. If you want one of these for a weekend cruiser or mildly restore for a showroom or a showcar-this one is so close to there and it's beautiful. It needs nothing on the drive train at all. You could hop in and drive it from Washington to Florida tomorrow with no worries. It floats. As I mentioned-it pains me to put this Cadillac on eBay but I ended up buying a little Porsche 914 and that has always been a dream of mine since I was 17. As much as I love this ride-you just can't keep them all(even though I would LOVE to!) I want someone to ENJOY this car like it needs to be enjoyed. I also have a '74 Dodge Sportsman I've been working on and joined a van club recently. This Cadillac has been on The Brougham Society page which is worldwide community of Brougham lovers everywhere. Whoever gets this '74 is going to get a JEWEL. With a small amount of detail and minor paint work-this car will be insanely nice...it already is. If you have any questions-feel free to message me. I can answer anything you might need. Thanks! Jason The reserve price is low(but not too low) and is what I have into it-once it has been passed-it's going to be sold so if you are going to bid-please bid accordingly. You do not want to miss out on this one. I think the only one who is going to miss this car is myself. If you are wondering how well it drives-I drove it today and had it cruising at 70 on the freeway for around 30 miles. Purrs. On Jun-18-14 at 22:19:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention-in case you are wondering where the passenger door mirror is.....it never had one. There is no bodywork done to this car and it has never been wrecked. Everything is tight just like it was when it came off the line in late '73. I never have another '74 Cadillac where there was no mirror on the passenger door-it makes this example quite unique. This was the example that was on the main floor at the Utter dealership. On Jun-19-14 at 18:24:26 PDT, seller added the following information: For anyone wondering-the reserve is 3,000.00. That is my break even point. Low retail is right around there and average is around 5,900 with perfect being close to 8,300. This car in the condition it is in falls somewhere I'd say around average. So with my reserve set-it is a good deal and it won't take hardly anything to really bring it out in fantastic shape. What is mind blowing is all the paperwork for the car. You can follow its history all the way down to when it was bought brand new. Enjoy! :)
