Vehicle Detail

Superformance # 1107 Cobra. Stunning black with Gold stripes. This Cobra is as real as you can get without a million dollar price tag. The vehicle was assembled in South Africa at the Superformance plant and shipped into the United States. Superformance is known to have the best built and most accurate replica Cobra in the world. This vehicle is outfitted with a real 427 FE Side Oiler which was purchased/built by a nascar engine builder from the sixties and seventies in eastern Kentucky. The motor has since had aluminum heads installed, two four-barrel carbs., and has a solid lift cam. The engine builder states the engine puts out 525 HP. The exhaust has been jet-coated inside and out. The vehicle has both a mechanical fuel pump as well as an electric pump in case you want to race the vehicle. The body and finish are exceptional and have never been damaged. This is the only black with gold stripes Cobra I have seen and is absolutely beautiful. There are few chips in the paint behind the exit of the side pipes on the quarter panel (as they all do). The gauges are the original style and read in celsius and the odometer goes backwards just like the originals did and are laid out in the correct order. I do have a top, side windows, and a cockpit cover that goes with the vehicle but have never been installed. The interior is in excellent condition and has no signs of wear. The vehicle is equipped with 5-point harnesses for both seats. The shift handle is original to the "real ones". The wheels are original Halibrand Cobra pin-drive wheels and Goodyear billboard tires. The tires are still like new and no road rash or damage on the wheels. Independent rear suspension and Wilwood disc brake kit on all four corners. All of the fluids were just drained and refilled. The front and rear have adjustable coil-over's. The suspension has been professionally tuned for the track and remains that way still for street driving. The tires are bias-ply race tires that I run on the street for added safety to stick to the road. Clutch and transmission are excellent. The rear-mail seal is leaks a little bit when not regularly driven and I have the parts to fix just don't have the time to do it. I have always run Brad Penn racing oil in the engine. To duplicate this car would be well over $85,000. These original side-oiler engines are bringing well over $25,000 when you can find them and the wheels will cost you another $8,000 or more when you can find them. The vehicle has never been jerked around, tires spun, the clutch dumped, or any other form of abuse. It has been run on the tracks at high speed as it is designed to do. It has been ran at Road Atlanta and VIR. The decals that are seen in some of the photos are static-cling and do come with the car however they are not currently installed. The car is scary fast and sounds great. The details put into this car are absolute outstanding and true to the original cars.
