Vehicle Detail
For your consideration. 1969 Ford Mustang 2 door coupe with a 351w 2v auto FMX transmission. The original owner purchased this car from San Jose Ford in San Jose California. This car was built at the San Jose Ford plant on 02-06-1969 and then sold to the original owner on 03-31-1969. I have the sales paperwork and the paperwork for the financing of the purchase of the vehicle. This car has lived most of its life in Arizona. When the original owner passed the car was given to his son who then sold it to my family. I had no intentions of selling this beautiful car however my wife's health problems and medical bills that have occurred means the car must go to a new family so we can use the money for bills. That being said here is more about the car: This car has not been restored. Any items that needed replacement were done so with the correct parts. I have receipts for the replacement parts. Most parts i tried to purchase from Kevin Marti or Scott Drake so they would be licensed Ford products and be as original. The back seat is original no tears or splits. The front seat foam and covers have been replaced and they match the back. The carpet has been replaced. The headliner and seat belts are original and in great condition. The dash pad is new and the correct color (the original one was too far gone) The glass in the car appears to be original with the correct ford stamping. All the gauges work as they should as does the am radio. The tires are in very good condition. The car sat for a long time so it was in the best interest to replace the gas tank to ensure no problems. The original autolite 2100 carburetor has been recently professional rebuilt complete with dashpot and transmission kick down (that functions flawlessly) The radiator has been cleaned and repaired( i don't think it is original) The spark plug wires are concours correct as are the hoses, voltage regulator, battery cables, ground strap, radiator cap (purchased from Kevin Marti) . As far as appearance the car looks great but since it has original paint it is not perfect. Door dings, light scratches and paint patina and loss are on the car. It is not very drastic and can be easily fixed. The paint still has a lot of gloss in it. The emblems are intact and all of the lights and marker lights work including the ones in the hood scoop. The car starts right up and runs very strong. No noticeable smoke when starting or hard accelerating.(burn outs are not my thing but this car will smoke the tires!) This car has lots of power and will cruise the freeway with no problem thanks in part to the 2.75 axle ratio. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them as best I can. I will also send pictures upon request if you would like to see a certain area of the car. I am not a collector or professional. I have represented this car to the best of my ability. I cannot offer any warranty what so ever and no refunds.
