I recently purchased this 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue a few months ago with 103,852 miles on the odometer. The issue is an overheating problem. I bought the car hoping it'll be a simple quick fix. I don't have many tools nor very knowledgeable with cars. I'm able to do very basic repairs, i.e. thermostat, radiator hoses, water pump etc. Which all are easily accessible on this 3.5L V6 model. After replacing those components it seemed to be fixed initially. It doesn't overheat at all sitting in park at idle. Only after 10-20 minutes of driving it the temp gauge begins to move towards the hot indication. No hesitation, no misfire, idles smooth and no engine trouble codes. Transmission shifts smooth throughout all gears. I haven't been able to do any further fixes due to minimal tools and know how. This is more or less a mechanics special. It has a clean car fax which I have a copy for anyone who requests it. Its very clean inside with no rips, holes or stains on the seats. It seemed to be a non smoker car. Clean on the outside with normal surface scratches. no body damage or rust anywhere on the car. Tracks straight down the road and has plenty of power. All power functions operable, i.e. power seat, mirrors, windows and A/C. This is good car for someone that has the time, tools and knowledge to fix the overheating condition. Buyer is responsible for shipping, towing or local pick up. Car is being sold as-is with no warranty.
